Runda Wooden Industry has started construction on a new production workshop at its manufacturing facility in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang. Foundation work is now complete, and the project is moving into the next phase.

The new workshop covers approximately 2,000 square meters and will add 4 new production lines, a dust-free packaging workshop, and upgraded supporting equipment. It responds to steady growth in orders from European and American buyers over the past two years.

Why We Are Building

Our existing 10 production lines have been running near full capacity, particularly during peak seasons. Lead times were beginning to extend, and we did not want that to become a long-term problem for our customers.

Rather than adding shifts or outsourcing, we chose to expand on-site. Building a new workshop on our own land allows us to keep production, quality control, and packaging under one roof. That matters for consistency, especially for buyers who require strict food safety compliance.


What the New Workshop Will Include

The new workshop is designed with three priorities: capacity, cleanliness, and process flow.

Capacity
The addition of 4 new production lines will increase our daily output and reduce lead times during peak season. This gives us more flexibility for large-volume contracts and mixed container orders.

Cleanliness
Wooden cutlery is a food contact product. The new workshop will include a dedicated dust-free packaging area with controlled dust and humidity, separated from the woodworking sections. Packaging is the stage where contamination risk is highest, and we want tighter control over it.

Process flow
The layout is planned so that material moves through production, polishing, inspection, and packaging in a continuous sequence. This reduces handling, shortens production time, and lowers the risk of damage during transfer. The new workshop will also be equipped with upgraded supporting machinery for each stage of the process.


Construction Timeline

Foundation work was completed on schedule. The next phase covers structural steel, roofing, and utility installation. The new workshop is expected to begin operation by the end of 2026.
